Lithonia  is a small, historic city in eastern DeKalb County about 18 miles east of downtown Atlanta with a unique “City of Stone” identity rooted in its granite-quarrying past. Originally a crossroads settlement in the early 1840s and officially incorporated in 1856, Lithonia grew around the granite industry and rail connections that helped shape both its economy and historic architecture.
