Sylvan Hills is located southwest of downtown Atlanta. Today, Sylvan Hills prides itself on having an active neighborhood association that creates a sense of unity, provides community-based projects, and promotes future development. These are the Elements of Sylvan Hills. The western edge is a transport region that will be linked to the future Beltline project of Atlanta. Two Marta stations, Lakewood-Ft. McPherson and Oakland City on the western edge of the neighborhood are readily available for residents. Living in Sylvan Hills makes the drive to Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport or midtown Atlanta a quick commute. Perkerson Park is approximately fifty acres in size and is located in the northeast portion of the neighborhood. This Park has everything from a splash pad to playgrounds to recreational fields shaded with huge oaks trees.

SYLVAN HILLS PROPERTY TYPE
The neighborhood of Sylvan Hills was established post WWI. Housing reflects this through the neighborhood’s clustered cottages and bungalow style homes. In the 1950’s and 1960’s, many modern larger lot ranch styles were built.
