Doraville

Founded in 1871, Doraville is a diverse, international city of 10,000 located 10 miles northeast of downtown Atlanta. Doraville has three distinct neighborhoods: Northwoods, Oakcliff and Tilly Mill. Built in either ranch or contemporary style, these neighborhoods are well known for homes consisting of smart design and superior construction. The initial homes in Northwoods were modest 1,100 square homes built as affordable housing for workers of the Doraville General Motors plant. When the neighborhood first took shape the 3 bedroom and 1.5 bathroom homes included a family room, and were between $13,350-$15,300. Today, the same homes are listing between $100k-$500k. Doraville is home to the former General Motors Assembly Plant – a 165-acres of prime real estate. The Atlanta Rhythm Section band formed in Doraville.
